Alright, so I might be a little late for Halloween, but I cannot seem to get this song out of my head this weekend. The Rattles were a rock group from Germany, and "The Witch" was their biggest hit, and only hit outside their own country. They performed alongside The Beatles and other stars of the day, including The Searchers, at The Star-Club in Hamburg, Germany. Read more and watch the video after the jump.
The video is quite an accomplishment for 1970 featuring spooky woods, beautiful photography, integration of stock footage, and some cheesy, if not bold for the day, theatrical symbolism. I dare you to watch and not sing the song to yourself all day long!
