Echo & The Bunnymen "The Killing Moon" Acoustic

Another great entry in the "A Take Away Show" series by La Blogotheque.  This clip, directed by Derrick Belcham, documents a moody and almost private moment with Ian McCulloch strumming and singing "The Killing Moon."  For a moment McCulloch seems lost in the song.  Does he forget the lyrics or is he overcome with emotion - it's a moment of vulnerability and raw emotion - it gets me everytime I watch it.

In starlit nights I saw you
So cruelly you kissed me
Your lips a magic world
Your sky all hung with jewels
The killing moon
Will come too soon

Fate
Up against your will
Through the thick and thin
He will wait until
You give yourself to him
